North County Library: Sarasota, Florida

The North County Library is a 25,000 square foot branch library for the Sarasota County Library system.
The library serves an ethnically diverse community located in the northern section of Sarasota County. In an effort to attract patrons and encourage a welcome and friendly environment, the facility is designed with a full-height glazed curtain wall system along the southern façade. During the daytime, patrons can look out upon the adjacent heritage oaks trees and field while at night the facility glows internally and serves as a symbolic community beacon.
