Matt Fergeson, AIA, NCARB grew up in Sarasota. Away for 10 years, this Cardinal Mooney graduate has returned to his hometown after working for firms in Roanoke, VA and Tampa, FL. He says, “I really enjoy the studio environment at Sweet Sparkman Architects. It encourages collaboration within the office, which is a huge benefit in our profession. It’s also nice to be part of a group that cares as much about its employees as it does about architecture!”
Included among his previous projects are the historical renovations and rooftop garden for Center in the Square Museum in Roanoke and Opes Health Channelside's signature location in Tampa. Currently, Matt is the Project Architect for work at Eckerd College and the School Board of Manatee County.
Matt is a proud father of a beautiful little boy. He is happy to be back in Sarasota where both his family and his wife’s family reside. His interests outside of architecture and family primarily include food, beer and most especially, golf.
