Jenna is a Bangor, Maine native. She went to school at Roger Williams University in Rhode Island (Todd Sweet's alma mater). Like so many in our firm, her exposure to the construction industry started at home. In Jenna's case, her father is the founding civil engineer at Kiser & Kiser Company in Hampden, ME, where she worked during the summers.
Travel has played a significant role in Jenna's love of architecture. Jenna has a minor in Art History and has studied Art and Architecture abroad in Italy. She loved all aspects of studying in Italy from the Roman Architecture to the design of the Boboli Gardens behind the Pitti Palace. She has traveled extensively on the East Coast of the United States from Boston, Washington, D.C. down to Charleston S.C. Each place has influenced her aesthetic.
Jenna came to Florida in 2011 and was glad to leave the snow and cold behind to bask in the warm sunshine of Florida. Jenna likes working on a range of project types because they offer various challenges and require unique design solutions. One of her favorite projects was a country club that employed heavy timber trusses, a rare detail in Florida construction. When Jenna is not designing large projects, she is outside enjoying the beautiful Florida weather. Hiking, yoga, and going to the beach are just a few of her interests. She also volunteers with organizations like Selah Freedom by doing whatever is needed to help the local community.
