Maria is an accomplished architectural designer with a strong focus on environmental sustainability. She holds an Honors Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Design and Technology and an Honors Master of Architecture from the Boston Architectural College. Maria's passion for architecture stems from her high school love for sciences, math, and art, all of which she finds beautifully integrated in the field of architecture. She is particularly enthusiastic about understanding client needs and translating them into user-friendly and comfortable spaces. Maria draws inspiration from 19th-century architecture, especially its ornamentation, materiality, and construction techniques, and strives to incorporate these elements into her modern work with a focus on sustainability. Influenced by the innovative work of MVRDV, she aims to reintroduce nature into urban environments. Maria has been recognized for her academic excellence with the Thesis Excellence Award and the 2021 Connecticut Green Building Award of Merit. Outside of architecture, she enjoys reading, horseback riding, traveling, and creating videos, all of which provide her with unique perspectives and creative insights that she applies to her professional work.
